The robot car and robot arm builds were streamed, Liz began moving her content to YouTube, and Job Search Standup was announced for January.

The team streamed the robot car build, in two parts: the car and the code. They also built some robot arms, with Andrew helping a great deal, and Liz planned to film a second arm build and the setup.

Worried about the TikTok ban, Liz started moving curriculum content to YouTube and asked readers to subscribe there. She and Roan were also discussing a CyberSecurity for Organizers session open to everyone.

Job Search Standup was announced to return in January for a 12-week run, with two 12-week sessions planned per year and new pricing options including a post-placement payment plan.

12/08/2024 Multiverse Report

Last week was so fun! We streamed the Robot Car build: The Car and The Code and we also built some robot arms! I'll make a video soon.

I am freaking out about the TikTok ban. This seriously might sink the very fragile enterprise of gay pirates I've gotten surrounded by. It is a dark time when the incoming administration might be helpful. That said, I don't love the idea of being at Trump's whims in terms of platform security, so I am pivoting to YouTube. I'll be releasing some of the content I have in the curriculum on YouTube- do me a favor and subscribe to me there. I did some new thumbnails, it's cooler looking now haha. Tell me what you think.

Andrew has been doing a lot this week, helping greatly during the arm build. I'll be filming a second arm's build and the setup. Roan and I are talking about CyberSecurity for Organizers soon, which will be open attendance. Some folks continue to commit to me that they'll set up a chat server, and I continue to use Signal despite the constant grumbling about it. I have my reasons, y'all. CyberSecurity is but one of them.

Guess what? I'm bringing Job Search Standup back! 🎉 In January, for a 12-week stint. Then we'll take a break until May, then do another 12 weeks. I think 2 12-week sessions per year is about what I can handle, but I did want to bring it back because it's been requested multiple times. We'll have new pricing options, including a post-placement payment plan.
