Detroit, goodbyes, and an anonymous protest map

Back From Detroit

Liz returned from Detroit, said goodbye to Chris, and shared Protest Pulse, an anonymous event listing built with Replit agent.

This issue is dressed as Electronic Body Music

Liz came back from Detroit and posted another teaser of the robot work, with an application form for anyone who wanted to get involved.

Chris left The Multiverse School for health reasons. He planned to stop by Solarpunk Standup to say goodbye and stayed reachable on Matrix.

The community shared Protest Pulse, an anonymous event listing built with Replit agent that was headed for Raspberry Pis, and asked for comments and feature requests. Slippy Street and Freak Scene continued, with Freak Scene noted as a music listing and not a place to organize direct actions. Liz also asked readers in red states to connect her with local queer community centers.

3/2/2025 Multiverse Report

Multiverse Crew-

We're resisting fascism with our whole hearts and all of our time. We have the luxury afforded to us that we cannot have our funding yanked, our status threatened, or for We have the luxury of a security-first mindset. We have the luxury of a community united in the purpose of mutualism, and of universalism. Together, we'll cross the river.

I'm back from my trips. Had a lot of plot-heavy time, so now it's time to document what's happening.

Chris

First off, Chris is moving on from The Multiverse School. We're so grateful to have had his expertise and energy for the last few months. Chris has chosen to move on for health reasons I won't get into in a newsletter. He'll stop in Solarpunk Standup (maybe this week, depending on the Health Stuff) to say goodbye and answer any questions. He'll still be around on Matrix. We love you Chris.

Detroit, and a favor

Next, we just got back from Detroit! Are you so sick of hearing teasers of what's happening in Detroit but not knowing what the deal is? Here's... another teaser. Yes, you can apply to get involved. Let's seize those means.

In an unrelated note, are you in a red state? Please make contact with your local queer community centers, and then get me introduced. Time is of the essence.

Tools for the street

Is your street sometimes... slippery? Want to keep track of and alert your neighbors when there's a fall risk? Are we talking about... ICE? Icy roads are so dangerous. Anyway, we made a tool for that. Thanks Gerry. Fork this to run a local copy in case this is deleted. (Not helpful in areas where Stingrays operate but very helpful near your home in case of Icy Weather which I hear may be year round for the next bit.)

https://freakscene.us/ is still popping, it's a very cool alternative music scene listing that doesn't help any venture capitalists at all. This is not the place to organize direct actions- we're also working on that one.

If you want to organize directly, this anonymous event listing is up and I would like some comments and feature requests. It was made by replit agent, but we'll deploy it to some raspberry Pis soon.

Solarpunk Standup is on - this is first assembly. Bring your problems, needs, and we'll get the community problem-solving. This is included in any membership tier and for anyone currently in a class.

Job Search / Brandup Standup will be from 9am - 10am Pacific. This is where you'll work on either search for jobs (literally apply to jobs, put in proposals, pitch contracts, do outbound emails), or your personal brand (literally the stuff like your website, social media post, mass communications, etc).

Please contribute to the resistance repo. We are making some agitprop bots, please contribute propaganda. We need both relatable memes (hooks) and propaganda memes. This will also serve as a decent collection of the kinds of meme propaganda we've been exposed to.

Python Development will continue, and will be at 8am Pacific on Thursday, run by Anadon. This is also a Community Class.

Don't forget to join us on Matrix, where we'll stay tight-knit and coordinated, run mutual aid groups, and keep everyone safe. This is going to be a rough few years. Let's keep each other safe and sane.

See you at first assembly.
